- ➤ New Braunfels Fire Department deployed a peer support team to Kerr County—helping local volunteers and first responders continue recovery efforts months after the July 4 floods devastated the community. Herald-Zeitung
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ The Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country launched the Family Mental Health Care Fund to provide trauma-informed counseling + grief support for families who lost loved ones in the July 4 floods while covering out-of-pocket insurance costs until March 31, 2026. The fund, developed with the Meadows Mental Health Policy Institute, also offers navigation support for applicants and comes as eight nonprofits receive multi-year grants to expand trauma services in affected areas.
