On Saturday afternoon the Hill Country Craft Beer Festival filled the Wurstfest grounds with craft beer fans sampling beers from area breweries.

The event—benefiting the New Braunfels community—gathered locals to enjoy regional flavors and support a worthy cause.

The H.D. Gruene Mercantile building in New Braunfels will be repurposed after Gruene Antique Company—operating nearly 40 years—closes its doors this summer.

New Braunfels couple the Hemptons are using family experience—gained from raising six children—to open an early learning school in Creekside; they moved here five years ago and will apply their insights to develop the school.

Three New Braunfels high school track and field athletes are heading to Austin to compete at the state meet — marking the city’s first trip to the event.
