Good morning, New Braunfels.

Nearly 30 members of Phi Delta Theta from Texas State University helped a local family facing ALS by doing yard work on a Saturday morning in late February at the family's home.

Singer-songwriter Robert Earl Keen was named 2026 Texan of the Year at the Texas Legislative Conference — held in New Braunfels — for his flood relief benefit concert, recognizing his committed support for the community.

The Herald-Zeitung announced the 40th edition of the Best of New Braunfels competition and will start accepting nominations on April 1 so locals can vote for their favorites in this long-standing tradition.
