The City of Kyle invites the community to honor and celebrate our nation's veterans at the annual Veterans Day Parade on Saturday, Nov. 14, beginning at 11:45 a.m. in downtown Kyle. This annual tradition recognizes the service and sacrifice of the brave men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces. Businesses, organizations, schools, veterans groups, and community members are encouraged to participate as we come together to show our appreciation for those who have defended our nation. Viewing the Parade: The best locations to view the Veterans Day Parade are along Center Street between Gregg-Clarke Park and Mary Kyle Hartson Park. To help keep everyone safe, attendees are asked to remain on sidewalks or grassy areas and to avoid entering the roadway while the parade is in progress. Detour & Parade Route: The parade will begin at Gregg-Clarke Park and proceed along Center Street, ending at Front Street near City Square. Center Street from Ramirez Street to just past Front Street will be closed to traffic during the parade. Traffic will be detoured using N. Front Street, Blanco Street, and Veterans Drive. Road closures will begin at 11:30 a.m. and will reopen as soon as the parade concludes. Parade Participation: The City of Kyle welcomes veterans organizations, military units, businesses, schools, nonprofits, civic groups, and community organizations to participate in this year's Veterans Day Parade. Participants are encouraged to decorate their entries in a patriotic theme that honors the service and sacrifice of our nation's veterans while keeping all displays family-friendly.
