About this event

Landing your first professional position is about more than negotiating salary. This interactive session will help graduate students evaluate the full financial value of a job offer by examining compensation packages, employee benefits, retirement plans, health insurance, and other long-term financial considerations. Participants will also learn how benefits can significantly impact their overall compensation and quality of life. Through practical examples and discussion, students will develop the confidence to ask thoughtful questions during the hiring process, compare multiple job offers, and identify hidden costs or benefits that may influence their decision. By the end of the session, participants will be equipped with a checklist of key financial considerations and questions to help them make informed career decisions beyond the base salary.
