Starting a business has never come with more information.

Between social media, AI, podcasts, courses, coaches, and an endless stream of entrepreneurial advice, new founders are constantly being told what they should be doing.

Build a brand. Start posting. Create a website. Grow an audience. Use AI. Network. Find funding. Hire help.

But when you’ve actually decided to build a business, the harder question is:

What really needs to be in place first?

Founder Foundations is designed to cut through that noise.

Rather than focusing on the highly visible parts of entrepreneurship, this first Founder Foundations experience will focus on some of the less glamorous but incredibly important foundations that can become expensive, stressful, or difficult to fix later if they aren’t handled thoughtfully from the beginning.

The philosophy: Build lean. Don’t build careless. Know where to invest.

WHO FOUNDER FOUNDATIONS IS FOR

You may have left corporate, be preparing to leave, or have decided to go all-in on an idea and determined how you will initially finance that decision.

You don’t need to be convinced to become an entrepreneur.

You’re asking: “I’m doing this. Now what?”

WHAT WE’LL BUILD

Together, we’ll work through four foundations every early-stage founder should understand:

1) LEGAL | Protect What You’re Building

Understand the legal foundations that deserve your attention early, from business structure and contracts to liability, risk, and knowing when DIY is enough and when professional guidance matters.

2) FINANCIAL | Build the Foundation to Take Smart Risks

Think beyond simply funding your business. Explore personal runway, financial safeguards, reinvestment, retirement and how to pursue entrepreneurship without being careless with the financial life surrounding it.

3) ACCOUNTING | Start With Clean Financial Hygiene

Establish smart habits from Day 1, including separating business and personal finances, expense tracking, bookkeeping, taxes, business credit and understanding the numbers behind your business.

4) NETWORK + ECOSYSTEM | Build Your Room Before You Need It

Learn how to intentionally build the relationships and reputation your business will eventually depend on, from finding the right rooms and refining how you talk about your business to developing relationships with mentors, connectors, collaborators and future partners.

THIS ISN’T ANOTHER “GET INSPIRED” EVENT

Inspiration is wonderful. But we want you to leave with something more useful:

Clarity. Priorities. A plan.

Every attendee will receive a Founder Foundations Roadmap to work through throughout the experience.

For each foundation, you’ll identify:

NOW: What needs my attention immediately?

NEXT: What should I prepare for or establish soon?

LATER: What matters, but doesn’t deserve my energy yet?

The goal isn’t to leave thinking, “I learned so much.”

It’s to leave knowing: “I know what I need to do next.”

THE EXPERIENCE

Expect a warm, intimate and candid experience with plenty of room for real conversation.

10:30 AM | Arrive + Connect: Coffee, connection and intentional networking.

11:00 AM | The Conversation: A candid founder conversation about what building a business actually looks like, including early mistakes, money, identity, relationships, motherhood and life, what we prioritized too early or too late, and what we wish someone had told us. Q&A included.

11:45 AM | Lunch + Connection: Lunch and time to continue the conversations and relationships taking shape in the room.

12:15 PM | Build the Foundation: Four focused working sessions covering Legal, Financial, Accounting, and Network + Ecosystem. You'll work through what deserves your attention now, next and later.

2:15 PM | The Commitment: Turn what you’ve learned into action. Identify your immediate priorities, complete your roadmap and make your commitment to what comes next.
