Paws & Wisdom: Senior Pet Care Workshop

About this event

Hosted in partnership with ARF-TX. To help you give your aging pets the best quality of life possible, join this Senior Pet Car Workshop led by Sweet Dreams Senior Pet Sanctuary. As our four-legged family members grow older, their needs change-from how they move and play to what they eat and how they rest. In this interactive workshop, our animal care experts will walk you through supporting your senior dogs and cats across four key areas: Mentally: Cognitive enrichment and keeping senior minds sharp. Physically: Managing mobility, joint comfort, and safe exercise. Nutritionally: Tailoring diets, supplements, and hydration for older pets. Emotionally: Navigating anxiety, vision/hearing loss, and routine shifts. "Giving Thanks" Collection Drive While admission is free, we kindly ask everyone to consider a donation item to benefit Sweet Dreams Senior Pet Sanctuary as they continue their wonderful work caring for elderly rescue animals. Collections can be dropped off prior to the workshop at Alex's Doggy Daycare and Boarding, Canyon Critters Petsitting and Boarding, and Moni's Mutt Hut! Most Needed Items: Canned dog food Canned tuna fish (the cats love "people" tuna more that canned cat food) Joint Supplements (glucosamine/chondroitin) Gentle grooming wipes or unscented baby wipes Paper towels Cat litter
