GRAND ILLUSION-A Texas Tribute To STYX

About this event

Get ready for an epic night of classic arena rock!

On Friday, November 14th , The Grand Illusion – Texas’ premier tribute to STYX – brings the full 1970s and ’80s arena-rock magic straight to Ragnar’s in San Marcos. Doors open at 6PM

Hailing from the Dallas–Fort Worth area, The Grand Illusion is known for their “impossibly accurate” performances and haunting lead vocals that stay 100% faithful to the original STYX recordings. Expect a high-energy, dynamic set packed with the band’s biggest anthems and deep cuts: “Come Sail Away,” “Renegade,” “Babe,” “Blue Collar Man,” “Suite Madame Blue,” and more. From soaring power ballads to progressive rock fire, they deliver the exact sound and spectacle that made STYX legends.

The venue is the perfect match: Ragnar’s is San Marcos’ flame-lit, Viking-inspired live music bar. It’s a high-energy rock den built for tribute shows, with a killer atmosphere that turns every night into an epic celebration.

Whether you’re a lifelong STYX fan or just love classic arena rock done right, this is the night you’ve been waiting for.
