One night only. A full big band. The music of Harry Connick Jr.
Harry Connick Jr. came up out of New Orleans with a pianist’s rhythmic bite, a crooner’s phrasing, and a taste for the swing-era sound that pop music had mostly left behind. Iconic Connick puts that sound back on the bandstand where it belongs: ELEVEN PIECES , with two trumpets, two trombones, three saxophones, grand piano, upright bass, drums, and a vocalist out front.
The evening runs ninety minutes and covers the full range, from ballads that quiet a room to up-tempo numbers that get people out of their seats. The charts are big, the brass is bright, and the rhythm section swings from the first downbeat.
Leading the band are three founders of San Antonio’s Fermata Jazz, Chris Vu, Dylan Knowles, and Diego Martinez, with some of Central Texas’ finest players beside them.
Doors will Open at 6:00PM to allow you and yours time to grab a bite to eat and relax before the show starts!
The Show will begin at 7:00PM.
Slinger Kitchen will be serving an intentionally curated menu 6:00-8:00PM.
Beer, Wine, & Coffee will all be available for enjoyment throughout the night.
